We Can't Really Call It "Kid"...

After much debate, we have decided on names for the baby. Luke and I have also decided that we're not going to find out the sex of the baby. We want that to be another of life's little surprises. So, the names that we have decided on are:

Boy: Isaac Andrew
Girl: Ava Grace

So for the mean time, we refer to the baby as Isava.

Week 7 of Isava's Life:

A little creepy... not gonna lie.

6 Weeks 6 Days

We want to out first OB visit yesterday. The nurse practitioner said that everything looks good and healthy and she doesn't forsee any problems. It was too soon to hear the heartbeat but we were assured that we would hear it in 4 weeks when we go back.

She determined that I'm 6 weeks and 5 days as of yesterday and my "official" due date is January 12th... until it changes which they always do. Plus, only 1 in 20 women actualy go into labor on their due date... I'm not too worried.

I expressed my concern over my morning sickness which has kicked in with avengance. She said it normal and happening because my hormone levels are doubling every 48 hours. She gave me some samples of these candy lozenges, called B-natals, that have tons of b vitamins that are supposed to help the sickness. I tried one yesterday and they work really well. So now I have 2 boxes being delivered today.

So all in all, I'm doing well. The sickness is getting old and hasn't even been going on that long. Oh well... only 6 more weeks of it.

Suzie Home-Maker at Her Finest

So I've never really been that great at baking bread but I guess I need to get good quick seeing as I have a bun in the oven!

Luke and I just found out on Wednesday that we're pregnant! We're due in January and I'm going to my first doctor's appointment on the 27th. More details after that...

I'm glad it's not just me.

I woke up this morning barely able to open my eyes and the thought of rolling out of bed was nearly impossible. My husband, Luke, and I snoozed the clock until the last possible minute. Even our dog didn't want to get out of bed. We put him out to go potty and he just kind of looked at us... like... "What are you doing? I'm tired, let me sleep!"

We got to work and everyone else was complaining about the same thing... being so tired, not being able to get up, their eyes were burning and allergies were insane.

I downed an energy drink which usually works for me... nothing. I took an energy pill that usually is overkill... still hardly an effect. What the heck?

Luke is blaming it on the space time continuum... Who knows.
